The Argentine Journal of Rheumatology (RAR), our institutional publication, has been an icon of national scientific work for the last 25 years. It publishes 4 issues per year, the clinical practice guidelines for our specialty, the book of abstracts of the Argentine Congress, and on several occasions it has collaborated with other publications and/or international events, all of this free of charge for the authors and open access for readers. The strategic plan of the RAR - developed from 2018, and updated and enhanced in 2020, 2022 and 2024 - has been the reference that guided the evolution of our publication in these years. Goals and objectives were set to aspire to incorporation into quality international databases, within which it was possible to enter several, a meritorious fact for a Spanish-speaking Journal without an international publisher behind it.
